The Weeknd celebrated the one year anniversary of ‘Dawn FM’ with the release of another clip from the album, for the track ‘Is There Someone Else?’.
The video was directed by Cliqua, who signs the works of this phase of the Canadian singer’s career, and explores voyeurism. The images alternate between scenes of The Weekend getting a sultry show from a dancer and scenes of someone else (The Weeknd himself in a mask) watching it all through the opposite window.
The blind-laden imagery—”Body Double” meets “9 1/2 Weeks”—suggest a need to peek at infidelity, the theme expressed in the song’s lyrics.
The release is the sixth clip of the ‘Dawn FM’ era, which has already produced videos for ‘Sacrifice’, ‘Gasoline’, ‘Out of Time’, ‘Take My Breath’ and ‘How do I Make You Love Me? ” .
