Matty Healy, lead singer of The 1975, extended his arm after marching while singing a verse about Kanye West
current tour The 1975 continues to generate controversy. After eating raw meat, getting a tattoo on stage and kissing fans, the vocalist Matty Healy is being accused of giving a Nazi salute during a performance.
The gesture was made during the song “Love It If We Made It,” which has the lines: “Unrequited house with seven pools, ‘Thank you, Kanye, very cool’ / The war has been incited, and guess what? You’re all invited” (“An unwanted house with seven pools, ‘Thank you, Kanye, really cool’ / The war was incited, and guess what? You are invited,” in free translation). As she sang, Matty marched and stretched out his arm,
The sentence that mentions Kanye West was said by former US President Donald Trump on Twitter, which shows the likely satire of healy when dealing with the subject. Despite this, use of a possible Nazi salute was not well received by the public on the internet.

“THE Matty lost its hand a long time ago within this concept of ‘satirification.’ Congratulations, you’ve reached a point where OK unpalatable,” said one user. “Satire or not, it’s irresponsible to do this on stage in front of a crowd of people,” wrote another.
