It may be a complete coincidence, but netizens have created several theories to explain the singer’s announcement 15 minutes after the one made by her ex-boyfriend
Several fans on social networks revealed that they believe that Taylor Swift announced a music video last Thursday, the 26th, just to draw attention away from a tour confirmed by her ex-boyfriend, John Mayer, on the same date. The video for the song “Lavender Haze”, featured on the album Midnights, was made available on Friday, the 26th, but had an excerpt the day before. Already the tour of Mayerin acoustic format, will start on March 11th.
John shared the news on their social networks at 9:50 am (Brasília time). The ad says:

Less than half an hour later, at 10:05 am, taylor confirmed that the video of “Lavender Haze” would be made available on Friday. The message did not bring any mention of the ex-boyfriend.
While it could be a complete coincidence, fans have created several theories regarding an alleged attempt by the singer to draw attention away from her ex’s tour, especially since the track was originally made available as part of an album that came out in October. The subject reached the most commented area (trending topics) on Twitter and was reverberated by vehicles abroad such as Cosmopolitan and daily mail.

Meaning of “Lavender Haze”
Interestingly, in a video released on Instagram still in 2022, Swift said that the lyrics of the song talk about her current boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. According to her, the composition addresses the challenges faced during the relationship with regard to gossip and the “shadows” of their ex-partners – that’s why they don’t talk about such topics.
