Ozzy Osbourne cancels shows and announces retirement from the stage

In a note on social networks, Ozzy Osbourne regretted the difficult decision after suffering an accident

Ozzy Osbourne announced retirement from the stage. The 74-year-old musician shared a note on social networks and revealed that he had suffered an accident that damaged his spine, in addition to facing surgeries and other health problems that complicate the possibility of performing.

“This is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to share with my loyal fans,” he wrote. “My one and only purpose during that time was to get back onstage. My voice is fine for singing. However, after three operations, stem cell treatment, endless therapy sessions, and most recently a groundbreaking exoskeleton treatment, my body is still physically weak,” he continued.

osbourne thanked the fans who bought and held tickets to his concerts, but made the decision to cancel the events: “With conscience, I realized that I am not physically able to complete my dates in Europe, as I know I would not be able to handle the necessary travel. Trust me when I say that disappointing my fans really pisses me off more than you know.”

“I never imagined that my touring days would end this way,” he continued. Second ozzyhis team is looking for ways to continue with presentations, without him having to face long trips between countries and cities.

“I’d like to thank my family, band, crew, my longtime friends, Judas Priest, and of course my fans for their unending dedication, loyalty and support, and for giving me the life I never dreamed I would have. I love you all,” the note concluded.

Last shows of Ozzy Osbourne in Brazil were in 2018, when he visited São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba and Belo Horizonte, with the No More Tours 2.
