Another Brazilian wrote that the young jazz singer ‘destroyed the dream of an entire nation’
Anitta lost the 2023 Grammy in the new artist category for jazz singer Samara Joy, 23 (see who Samara Joy is here). Fans of the nonconformist singer invaded the post in which the winner commented on the award, earlier this Sunday 6, to offend her.
“Theft”, “Give Anitta the prize back”, “She didn’t deserve it”, “Who is this?” were some of the messages left by Anitta’s fans on Samara’s profile. They also said the artist was not welcome in Brazil.
Another fan wrote: “Love you are BELIÍSSIMA! You have a beautiful voice! (…) But love was not meant to be yours, you destroyed the dream of an entire nation (sic)”.
There have also been those who have tried to soften the timing of the attacks. One of the messages read, in English: “As a Brazilian I am devastated for my girlfriend Anitta, but as a fan congratulations. Much deserved”.
