Streaming service Netflix has released the first teaser for the sequel to Quentin Tarantino's 2019 black comedy Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, starring Brad Pitt.
The upcoming feature is officially titled The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth and centers on former stuntman Cliff Booth, the character portrayed by Pitt in the original movie.
Set in Los Angeles in 1977, eight years after the events of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the narrative follows Booth after he leaves stunt work to become a studio fixer responsible for resolving complex problems on movie sets.
Director and Ensemble Cast
Quentin Tarantino, who directed the original 2019 movie, serves exclusively as screenwriter and co-producer on the sequel. David Fincher, director of Seven, Fight Club, The Social Network, Gone Girl, and The Killer, helmed the new production.
Alongside Pitt, the film features an ensemble cast including Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Holt McCallany, and Timothy Olyphant.
Debicki previously starred in Widows, Tenet, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as the television series The Night Manager and The Crown. Caan is known for his roles in the Ocean's trilogy and Hawaii Five-0.
Gugino appeared in Spy Kids, Sin City, Watchmen, Sucker Punch, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Fall of the House of Usher. Abdul-Mateen II starred in Us, Candyman, the Aquaman franchise, Watchmen, Wonder Man, and Wrath.
Weller's screen credits include the RoboCop franchise and Sons of Anarchy, while McCallany appeared in Wrath of Man, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, and Mindhunter. Olyphant starred in Deadwood, The Mandalorian, Alien: Earth, and Lucky.
Theatrical and Streaming Release Schedule
The film will premiere in a limited theatrical run exclusively in IMAX in select countries on November 25, 2026. The theatrical engagement will not include theaters in Ukraine.
Following its limited theatrical release, the movie will be available for streaming worldwide on Netflix starting December 23, 2026.

The original black comedy Once Upon a Time in Hollywood held its world premiere on May 21, 2019, at the 72nd Cannes International Film Festival. It remains the most recent feature film of Tarantino's career, following his acclaimed titles Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained, and The Hateful Eight.
Set in Hollywood in 1969, the original story focused on former Western actor Rick Dalton, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, who struggled to revive his career alongside his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth.
