Hollywood actresses Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock held hands in plunging black outfits at a Practical Magic 2 photocall at Claridge's hotel in London on Thursday morning.
The onscreen sisters united on the red carpet to continue their London press tour following the film's premiere the previous evening.
Kidman, 59, wore a pearl-strapped minidress for the morning appearance after drawing attention for her animated behavior at Wednesday night's premiere.
Bullock, 62, joined her co-star in a black lace blazer dress featuring a satin cream skirt and matching neck scarf.
Premiere reactions and fan comments
Kidman's red carpet behavior at the premiere prompted varied responses from fans on social media, with some comparing her energetic poses to past public appearances with her ex-husband Keith Urban before their divorce.
"For a moment, Nicole thought Sandra was Keith with her odd posing," users said. "Ugh, Nicole is always clinging onto someone," another added.
Other observers praised the joint appearance of the two Hollywood leads. "That's the magic right there," one commented.
The upcoming feature brings Kidman and Bullock back together on screen as executive producers and starring leads.
Cast arrivals and character recasting
Maisie Williams and Joey King, who portray the daughters of Bullock's character in the sequel, also made glam arrivals at the London event.
Williams, 29, wore a spooky black gown, while King, 27, arrived in a racy crochet co-ord.
King was accompanied by co-star Solly McLeod and later posed with cast member Xolo Maridueña, who wore a crystal-embellished suit.
Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest, who play eccentric aunts Frances and Bridget Owens in both the 1998 film and the sequel, were also present for the celebrations.
While Channing and Wiest return alongside Kidman and Bullock, the roles of the younger generation of Owens family members were recast for the sequel.
In the original 1998 film, Evan Rachel Wood played eldest daughter Kylie at age 11, while Alexandra Artrip played younger daughter Antonia.
Wood revealed that despite offering to return for the sequel, producers decided to recast the role. Artrip quit acting after the original movie and now works for an advertising company.
Sequel storyline and release details
Practical Magic 2 reunites Kidman, Bullock, Wiest and Channing as members of the Owens family, 25 years after the release of the original film.
Kidman reprises her role as Sally Owens alongside Bullock as Gillian, two sister witches navigating a family curse while striving for normal lives.
Kidman first confirmed in 2024 that she and Bullock would reprise their roles as orphaned sisters Gillian and Sally Owens.
The new film is adapted from Alice Hoffman's 2021 sequel book, The Book of Magic, and is executive produced by Kidman and Bullock for Warner Bros. Pictures.
"The Owens women must once again unite, traveling from their home in Massachusetts to the United Kingdom to confront the source of their magic and save the next generation of their family," according to a synopsis for the film.
The feature also stars Lee Pace alongside McLeod and Maridueña.
During their promotional tour, Kidman and Bullock surprised fans at a Cinespia screening of the 1998 original movie at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles earlier this month.
The original Practical Magic earned $68.3million globally against a $75million budget, according to tracking site The Numbers, but subsequently became a cult classic.
Practical Magic 2 is released in cinemas on September 11.
