Echevarría is taking a break from public life to focus on her family while dealing with deep grief. She is particularly devoted to supporting her mother, Elena Colodrón, and refuses to leave her side during this painful period.

Sources close to the actress state that she has no intention of celebrating her birthday as she did in previous years. She feels unable to carry on with normal routines or host celebrations given her current heartbreak.

Staying in Asturias for her 49th birthday

In past years, Echevarría established a summer tradition of celebrating her birthday alongside close friends in Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Those celebrations featured exclusive nights out built around concerts by prominent artists performing at the Starlite festival.

Her partner, Miguel Torres, and her daughter, Daniella Bustamante, who will soon turn 18, typically joined her for the festivities in Marbella. Her parents had also joined her for the celebrations in many previous years.

This year, Echevarría will remain in Asturias with her family, away from the media spotlight, rather than traveling to Marbella to toast with anyone. Friends in her inner circle noted that she lacks the spirit for celebrations while coping with a difficult mourning process.

Social media tribute and family support

Reappearing on social media five days after her father passed away, Echevarría shared messages reflecting her grief and shock. She wrote that her heart was broken and stated that she would attempt to piece it back together, though she knew it would never be the same without her father.

In an emotional farewell video dedicated to him on social media, she asked what would come after him and promised to think of him every single day. She added that she would continue talking to him and asking him to hold her and never let go, signing off as his little girl.

Friends including Sara Carbonero have offered support and words of encouragement during her grief. Echevarría is taking time to lower her pace and spend this difficult summer alongside her mother, her brother, her children, and Miguel Torres.
