A proposal in the Turks and Caicos Islands
Porro, who is from Don Benito, chose the Turks and Caicos Islands as the backdrop for his proposal while the couple were on holiday there. He took Hurtado to the shoreline to ask her the question, with large illuminated white letters on the beach spelling out the words "Will you marry me?" against the sunset.
Hurtado said the moment was emotional and that she was overcome with nerves before answering yes. The couple then embraced and kissed, sealing their engagement. Porro shared a series of photos from the moment on his account, which have been met with congratulatory messages from followers.
Hurtado shares her own announcement
María Hurtado also posted about the engagement on her own account, showing off the ring. She wrote that one of these days she would post a photo with her future husband, a ring on her finger and a happy ending forever.
