Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes join Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton in the sixth installment of Terminator.
We knew that returning to the level of the first two installments of the franchise was impossible, but after the return of James Cameron as producer, we were content to overcome the bad taste in the mouth of terminator genesis. Luckily for everyone, this sixth adventure about warlike mechanical futures passes through that intermediate point, forgetting cumbersome temporary plots to become a functional CGI action movie.
As much as we miss the physical weight of the robots of yesteryear, Tim Miller masters the digital inertia of his chases and manages to find a place for Mackenzie Davis and Linda Hamilton to become a brilliant intergenerational heroine duo that we didn’t know we needed. . When Arnold Schwarzenegger comes into play it’s nice to discover that his conversion to mythical comic relief is accompanied by his powerful presence as a heavy weapon in combat. A pity that the villain is not up to the task, but that is a problem that we have been dragging since Sarah Connor totally and definitively avoided the final judgment.
