Comedian Sam Pang won the TV Week Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television at the 66th TV Week Logie Awards held at The Star in Sydney on Sunday evening.

Television presenter Robert Irwin claimed the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter for Channel 10's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, while former tennis star Jelena Dokic won the inaugural Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter.

The annual TV Week Logie Awards celebrate excellence in Australian television, bringing together stars, presenters, and creators from across major broadcast networks and streaming platforms.

Gold Logie Winners and Major Award Honors

Pang, 52, secured the top prize after competing against a high-profile lineup of fellow nominees. The 22-year-old Irwin was nominated for the Gold Logie alongside his I'm A Celebrity co-host Julia Morris, 57, who received her fifth nomination in the category.

The Gold Logie category also featured former ABC News Breakfast presenter Lisa Millar, 57, nominated for her work on Backroads and Muster Dogs; MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow, 52; Channel Nine presenter Ally Langdon, 47; and presenter Todd Woodbridge, 55.

Langdon was awarded the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Presenter for her work across A Current Affair, The Great Debate, and Election 2025: Australia Decides on 9Network. Meanwhile, Deborah Mailman was honoured at the ceremony as the first Indigenous inductee to the Logies Hall of Fame, attending the event in a black sequinned pantsuit.

The 2026 ceremony marked the introduction of the Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter, named after veteran broadcaster Bruce McAvaney, a Logie Awards Hall of Fame recipient who covered international sports over five decades. Dokic won the award for her coverage of the 2026 Australian Open, 2025 Melbourne Cup, Wimbledon 2025, Roland Garros 2025, US Open 2025, and Cross Court 2025 on 9Network, beating nominees including McAvaney, Danika Mason, Eddie McGuire, James Bracey, and Ricky Ponting.

Network Changes and I'm A Celebrity Future

The Gold Logie nominations for Irwin and Morris follow Network 10's decision in May to rest I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! for the 2027 television season.

A spokesperson for Network 10 stated, "We have made the decision to rest I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2027 as we focus on offering our audience a range of content on all platforms," adding, "We look forward to working with Julia Morris and Robert Irwin on other projects."

The reality series opened strong in 2026 with an audience of 925,000 viewers, but ratings declined to 571,000 by the season finale. Reflecting on the nominations and the show's pause when nominations were released in January, Morris said, "It's the end of an era. I probably won't notice the heartbreak until it's time to go to the jungle."

Morris added, "It was 12 years in a row - and that jungle saved my life on so many different levels. How could I not be anything but grateful?" before commenting, "I gotta go and find some work, if you know what I'm saying."
