Radio presenter Carrie Bickmore returned to the spotlight at the 2026 Logie Awards at The Star in Sydney on Sunday night after taking a step back from television following her departure from The Project.
The 45-year-old mother of three turned heads in a low-cut $2,700 animal print dress by designer Alex Perry that showed off her recent weight loss. The gown featured what appeared to be a built-in corset and a sheer skirt.
Bickmore opted for no accessories, pairing her outfit with a smoky eye makeup look. She also debuted a dramatic style transformation, swapping her previous long blonde hair extensions for a short platinum blonde bob styled in a side part with soft waves.
Before arriving at the ceremony, Bickmore posted a photograph on Instagram holding her chopped extensions in her hand to reveal the fresh haircut. "From Robert to Bob! Logies 2026," she wrote in the caption.
Bickmore previously won the coveted Gold Logie Award in 2015. During her acceptance speech that year, she famously put on a beanie to raise public awareness for her late husband Greg Lange's fight against brain cancer.
Gold Logie Nominations and Winner
Comedian and presenter Sam Pang won the TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television at the 66th annual ceremony. The former Logies host beat out a stacked field of nominees for the night's top honor.
Among the Gold Logie nominees was 22-year-old Robert Irwin, recognized for his work co-hosting Network 10's reality series I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Irwin went head-to-head with his co-host Julia Morris, 57, who secured her fifth career nomination for the award.
The Gold Logie category also featured former ABC News Breakfast presenter Lisa Millar, 56, nominated for Backroads and Muster Dogs, alongside MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow, 52, Channel Nine host Ally Langdon, 47, and presenter Todd Woodbridge, 55.
End of an Era for I'm a Celebrity
The nominations for Irwin and Morris came shortly after Channel 10 announced it was pulling I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! from its 2027 broadcast schedule.
"We have made the decision to rest I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2027 as we focus on offering our audience a range of content on all platforms," a Network 10 spokesperson said in an official statement in May. "We look forward to working with Julia Morris and Robert Irwin on other projects."
The reality series opened strong in 2026 with 925,000 viewers, but ratings dropped to 571,000 viewers by the season finale.
Speaking to Daily Mail when nominations were announced in January, Morris reflected on the show's conclusion after 12 consecutive years. "It's the end of an era. I probably won't notice the heartbreak until it's time to go to the jungle," Morris said.
"It was 12 years in a row - and that jungle saved my life on so many different levels. How could I not be anything but grateful?" Morris added. "I gotta go and find some work, if you know what I'm saying."
New Award Category and 2026 Logie Winners
Sunday night's ceremony also marked the debut of the Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter, named after the veteran broadcaster. McAvaney, a recipient of the TV WEEK Logie Awards Hall of Fame, has covered international sports at the highest level for over five decades.
Former tennis star Jelena Dokic won the inaugural Bruce McAvaney Award for her sports coverage across the 2026 Australian Open, the 2025 Melbourne Cup, Wimbledon 2025, Roland Garros 2025, the US Open 2025, and Cross Court 2025 on 9Network.
