Spanish national radio station Cadena 100 reported that both festive tracks captured the number one spot on its charts over July and August, generating the majority of music streams during the summer holiday period.
As September begins and listeners return from summer vacations, pools, and beach bars to daily morning routines, both tracks remain heavily featured in the station's 45-minute uninterrupted music broadcasts.
World Cup Anthem and Streaming Success
Shakira scored one of the season's biggest hits with Dai Dai, a track commissioned directly by world football governing body FIFA. The assignment mirrors FIFA's 2010 partnership with the Barranquilla-born star, when she created the official South Africa World Cup anthem Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).
Three and a half months after its release, the official music video for Dai Dai has accumulated nearly one billion views on YouTube. The success comes during a peak career period for Shakira, whose global tour Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran is approaching its final legs.
The Latin pop icon is scheduled to complete the tour with a 12-night residency in Madrid at the Estadio Shakira once construction of the venue is finished.

Ana Mena achieved equal summer prominence by pairing with fellow Andalusian singer Lola Indigo on the Latin-flavored single Pa Ti Toa. Both artists, hailing from southern Spain, developed strong chemistry on the track, which became a viral sensation among younger music audiences.
