South Korean boy band Stray Kids will headline the World Stage at Rock in Rio 2026 on Friday, September 11, introducing K-pop to the festival's main lineup for the first time as the event enters its final weekend.
The eight-member group's performance is scheduled to start at 00:05 a.m., featuring their hit songs alongside tracks from their latest album, This & That, which was released on August 7.
Stray Kids consists of members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, HAN, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. The group previously performed in Brazil last year during their <dominATE> World Tour, playing two shows in São Paulo and one show in Rio de Janeiro.
World Stage Lineup and Performance Times
Brazilian electronic music producer Alok precedes Stray Kids on the World Stage with his Keep Art Human set at 9:20 p.m. The stage schedule opens earlier in the afternoon with group Nexz at 4:40 p.m., followed by South Korean rapper Hwasa at 7:00 p.m.
Rock in Rio, established in 1985 in Rio de Janeiro, is one of South America's largest music festivals, drawing global audiences to its multi-stage venue. The debut of Stray Kids marks the first time a K-pop act has been chosen to close out a night on the festival's flagship World Stage.
Sunset Stage and Other Major Venues
On the Sunset Stage, British funk band Jamiroquai headlines the night with a set scheduled for 10:45 p.m. American musician PJ Morton performs at 8:10 p.m., following Os Garotin inviting Duquesa at 5:50 p.m. and Jota.Pê inviting Luedji Luna and Zaynara at 3:30 p.m.
Jamiroquai, formed in London during the early 1990s under frontman Jay Kay, gained worldwide acclaim for pioneering acid jazz and funk pop. PJ Morton, a Grammy Award winning artist and key member of Maroon 5, brings his solo R&B repertoire to the Rio event.
Electronic, Favela, and Emerging Stages
The electronic-focused New Dance Order stage features DJ Anna at 9:05 p.m., Departamento at 10:00 p.m., Omiki at midnight, and Neelix & Vegas closing the arena at 1:00 a.m. Over at Espaço Favela, Caio Luccas opens the stage at 3:00 p.m., followed by Puterrier & MC Carol at 4:50 p.m., and MC Cabelinho featuring TZ da Coronel at 7:10 p.m.
The Supernova Stage highlights emerging talent throughout the afternoon and evening, featuring Muse Maya at 2:30 p.m., Isa Buzzi at 4:00 p.m., Ananda at 6:00 p.m., and NandaTsunami at 8:10 p.m. Concurrently, the Global Village stage presents Lambateria with Félix Robatto at 3:00 p.m., Rio Bronx at 4:50 p.m., and Soulidifield at 7:10 p.m.
