Television presenter Susanna Griso showcased a leather trench coat at the Circlassica premiere at IFEMA Madrid on Friday, confirming autumn's most elegant outerwear trend.
The red carpet photocall marked the official presentation of Circlassica: Extraordinarios, a family holiday production staged by Productores de Sonrisas. The seasonal show runs in the Spanish capital from October 30, 2026 until January 17, 2027, drawing numerous figures from television, cinema, and music to the venue.

Griso, 57, who is widely recognised across Spain as the longtime presenter of the morning television programme Espejo Público, arrived in a casual chic outfit faithful to her trademark style. Earlier in the week, the broadcaster had turned heads at the DO Mancha Solidarity Awards in an all-white ensemble, and she followed that appearance in Madrid with a look focused on comfort, practicality, and current seasonal directions.
Her red carpet outfit paired a patterned button-down shirt in maroon, one of the most prominent colours of the season, with wide-leg navy trousers chosen for ease and elegance. For footwear, Griso opted for practicality by wearing two-tone loafers.

The leather trench coat
The centrepiece of the look was a leather trench coat, bringing an imposing edge to an established transitional classic. While traditional cotton gabardine designs in beige are a familiar staple to combat rain and wind, Griso chose a more luxurious version that reinforces the prominence of leather for autumn styling.
Outerwear often defines an entire silhouette. Experts at the Spanish fashion label Maksu explained that the final layer provides the decisive personality for an ensemble. According to the brand, a classic trench offers traditional elegance, a masculine-cut overcoat provides structure, and a leather piece adds a relaxed, modern accent that alters any outfit.
High street and designer alternatives
Several fashion brands have introduced leather trench coats into their autumn collections to meet the trend. Spanish retailer Massimo Dutti, known for elevated tailoring and leather craftsmanship, offers a midi-length trench coat made from sheepskin leather with a napa finish. The design features a notch lapel collar, a double-breasted front fastening, and a retail price of 399 euros as a long-term wardrobe investment.

Spanish fashion house Simorra provides another interpretation with a full-length napa leather trench coat priced at 650 euros. The garment incorporates contrasting hand-painted edge details, a lapel collar, cuff straps at the wrists, and a matching removable belt. It also features a storm flap cape across the back to create additional movement when worn.

Styling for evening and daytime wear
The leather trench coat has established itself as an essential staple for November wardrobes. Although Griso wore the garment for an evening cultural premiere, fashion stylists note that the piece also adapts easily to casual daytime routines when paired with everyday basics such as denim jeans, a wool skirt, or a classic striped shirt.
