Suzanne Shaw has shared an insight into her first holiday as a "solo parent" with her son Rafferty, known as Raffi, following her split from her fiance of 12 years, Sam Greenfield.
The former Hear'Say singer, 44, said she made "special memories" on the trip with her 10-year-old son, whom she welcomed during her relationship with Greenfield.

Posting bikini pictures on Instagram, Shaw showed off her toned figure and abs, including one photo in which she put her arm around Raffi, who wore an England football shirt and shorts with his blonde hair tied in braids.
In the caption, she wrote: "Precious times, making the most special memories with my Raffi. Summer looked a little different for us both this year, but somehow it turned into one of the best summers I've had in years."
She continued: "I wasn't quite sure how I'd feel taking on a solo parent trip. I expected there might be some emotional moments along the way, but surprisingly, I absolutely loved it. Just the two of us, having our own little adventure, enjoying each other's company and making memories I know I'll treasure forever."
"We laughed, explored, soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed every minute of our time away together. By the end, neither of us wanted it to be over!" she added. "Sometimes the times you don't quite know what to expect from turn out to be the most special. So grateful for this time with my boy and all the memories we made along the way."
Split from Sam Greenfield

In another photo from the trip, Shaw lounged on a sunbed in a yellow two-piece, which revealed a symbol tattoo on her stomach.
Shaw and Greenfield got engaged in 2014 and welcomed Rafferty in 2015. She confirmed the couple had split in January.
Speaking in April, Shaw said the "rug was pulled from under her feet" as she detailed her shock breakup and reflected on finding self love. In February, she broke down in tears as she described her "messy and unexpected" breakup from Greenfield after 11 years together.
Becoming a grandmother
Amid the breakup, Shaw shared happier news, revealing she had become a grandmother in March after her son Corey's girlfriend, Erin, gave birth to a baby boy named Colton.

Shaw's former Hear'Say bandmate Myleene Klass also shared her own updates on Instagram, lounging on her hotel bed eating chips before later posting a look at her outfit from a glamorous night out.

Hear'Say formed in 2001 after winning the ITV talent show Popstars, becoming one of Britain's best-selling pop acts of the era before splitting the following year.
'The rug got pulled from underneath my feet'
Sharing an update with fans about "starting to come out the other side" of what she called a rollercoaster year, Shaw posted a video on Instagram appearing to suggest the split had come suddenly.
She said: "My god what a year. On New Year's Eve, I wrote in my journal how grateful I was for everything in my life, my family, the adventures that we were about to go on in my relationship and how in love I was and how excited I was for our future. And 24 hours later, not even 24 hours later, the rug got pulled from underneath my feet."
"I just couldn't believe it," she continued. "Then there was one thing that I wrote in the journal that was, 'I am ready to go on this beautiful, messy adventure that is life'. And my God, did it focus on the messy. Really focus on it, and it has been so difficult and painful, but I've just been so grateful that I've implemented all I know into myself, all the self love."
Turning to the arrival of her grandson, Shaw said: "Every single day, I am trying to give myself the highest quality of love I can possibly give, and I'm really starting to feel the benefits of it. And plus, I've become a grandma. Oh, it's so amazing. My grandson is so beautiful, and I can't stop doting on him, and that's brought a lot of joy and love into my life that I really needed."
"But yeah, he is amazing and just starting to feel just a bit better, but I am loving having the greatest love affair with myself, not having to compromise anything," she added.
Navigating a breakup sober
Confirming the split in January, Shaw said she was glad to have the tools to navigate a breakup sober, having quit alcohol six years ago.
She said: "I've not been online for a little while because I've just been navigating some stuff in my life which is a breakup that I'm going through at the moment when I genuinely did not expect I'd be saying this out loud."
"It's been tough, it's been really tough and I wasn't actually even going to say anything online but I just thought like the nature of my account is all about mental health, my struggles with my mental health, quitting alcohol, changing my lifestyle, taking up running, all of the things that have just brought my stability. And now things have just taken a different road, taken a different path," she said.
"It's been tricky but my goodness thank god I have got the tools to navigate this," she continued. "And thank god it's been six years of not drinking, six years of really dedicating my life to my personal development."
"I've not been perfect through this and it's been a little bit messy but I've certainly been able to tap into therapy, I've been able to tap into meditation, a little bit of running, understanding that I need to eat well," she said. "And understanding that I need to just lean into this pain and heal and it is a new chapter of deep healing because for me, I am going into the era of having the greatest love affair with myself."
"It was important for me to share this, it was important for me to close one chapter to move into the next," she added. "I've not known what to say since the start of January but here I am, nearly in March now ready to just go this journey of total true self healing and giving myself the highest quality of love that I should have done a long time ago."
Previous marriage to Jason King
Two years before her engagement to Greenfield, Shaw was married to Heart FM presenter Jason King, 51. The pair married in 2009 and separated in 2012.
