The Adventures of Cliff Booth May Be Delayed to 2027

The release of the movie The Adventures of Cliff Booth starring Brad Pitt may be delayed until 2027 due to production problems, according to publication World of Reel. The film was scheduled for release on November 25 as a sequel to the comedy Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It tells the story of stuntman Cliff, who works for Hollywood movie studios and solves their behind the scenes problems in various ways.

Reshoot Refusal and Production Issues

Insiders report that director David Fincher, who directed Fight Club, does not like the current look of the picture. Fincher asked Netflix leadership to allocate a budget for major reshoots, but the streaming service refused the request. Streaming management did, however, grant the director several days to reshoot certain episodes.

The Adventures of Cliff Booth currently lacks a finished editing version. Reports indicate Fincher barely worked on the film during the summer because of personal circumstances. With three months remaining before release, the director lacks even a rough cut of the picture starring Brad Pitt, and it remains unclear whether the situation will change after the small pick-up shots. Neither Fincher nor Netflix has commented on the situation.
