American creator Mike Flanagan developed The Fall of the House of Usher, an eight-episode gothic horror miniseries currently streaming on Netflix.
The drama tells the story of a taciturn billionaire owner of a corrupt pharmaceutical empire who faces his questionable past when his children start dying in macabre and twisted ways. The plot is based on the short story of the same name and other works by author and poet Edgar Allan Poe. The story builds on three key pillars: a rich family, dark secrets, and brutal deaths. Each episode runs for approximately one hour, giving the full miniseries a total run time of about eight hours.
