Tom Holland has admitted that promoting some of his films was difficult because he considered them bad. The actor, known for playing Spider-Man, said certain promotional campaigns were genuinely hard because he did not rate the projects highly.
In an interview, Holland said the press tours for his upcoming summer blockbusters, The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, went very smoothly because he is proud of both films. He said he could not say the same about some films from earlier in his career.
Films he could not recommend
Holland said there were films he could not recommend, which made promoting them a real ordeal. He did not specify which titles he meant, but his candor sparked heavy discussion among fans and critics.
Holland is set to appear this year in The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, and in a new Spider-Man film expected to relaunch the franchise.
