Victoria Beckham watched her son Cruz Beckham perform at Reading Festival while wearing classic Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses alongside her husband David Beckham. The fashion designer revived the 2000s eyewear trend from the festival stands as the couple stepped out in coordinated autumn outfits to support their youngest son.

The former Spice Girl selected the Ray-Ban Aviator Large Metal model, which features thin gold metal frames and brown gradient teardrop-shaped lenses in a medium-large size. The versatile sunglasses are currently priced at 179 euros and are produced in a variety of color combinations.

Beckham paired the eyewear with a military green total look consisting of a short-sleeved t-shirt and straight-leg jeans. The clean lines of the minimalist outfit kept the primary focus on the sunglasses, which are known for transforming a simple ensemble into a striking statement.

History of the aviator style

Aviator sunglasses were originally designed in the 1930s exclusively for military pilots before becoming a popular accessory worn across generations. Created to protect pilots from high-altitude solar glare, the teardrop lens design has remained a classic style choice despite changing fashion trends and more futuristic contemporary designs.

The accessory has served as a staple in Beckham's wardrobe throughout her career. She has consistently favored the aviator silhouette over decades in the public eye, alternating between classic wire-frame Ray-Bans and designs featuring thicker frames.

David Beckham sets autumn knitwear trend

Former professional footballer David Beckham also attracted attention from the festival stands in an ensemble signaling the color trend for autumn 2026. He wore a wine-red knit sweater layered over a basic heather grey t-shirt, paired with straight-leg jeans.

The wine-red sweater highlights a practical mid-season layering piece designed for transitioning into cooler weather. The garment provides versatility for returning to daily work routines when paired with wide jeans or casual trousers.

Cruz Beckham performed his set at Reading Festival as part of his developing music career. The annual event in Berkshire remains one of the largest music festivals in the United Kingdom during the August bank holiday weekend.
