Jenna Ortega’s preparation to play Wandinha began months before filming began

Even with Wandinha bringing great success to the career of Jenna Ortegathe series of Netflix about the character of Addams Family it was traumatic for the actress, who “cried hysterically” during filming of the first season.

During the streaming Q&A panel (via Variety), ortega recalled filming the series, a period in which he worked for many days (with many hours of recording). Also, she had to learn new things, like playing the cello.

“I was supposed to arrive two hours before [do inĂ­cio das filmagens]do that day for 12 to 14 hours, then go home, enter the zoom and take whatever class I had,” said the artist. “Or get to my apartment, where my cello teacher was already waiting for me.”

It happened constantly, and if you could on a weekend, if we weren’t filming on the sixth day of that week, it was, ‘Alright then, let’s start your classes that day.’

In the conversation organized by Netflix, Jenna Ortega also revealed how he started learning cello and fencing a few months before filming – and had to switch cello teachers when he moved to Romania during preparations for the cello scene”paint it black.”

“I didn’t sleep at all. I pulled my hair. There are so many calls from the FaceTime which my father responded of me crying hysterically,” he continued. Even with this crisis, the director Tim Burton reassured the actress about her cello prowess: “Oh, don’t worry, you’re going to do great. It’s going to be great.”

I didn’t know where my hands were supposed to go and so I had to make two cellos come out of one cello, which was ridiculous.
