American Horror Story: Playing Siamese ‘was a nightmare’, says Sarah Paulson

During an interview with QA (via Looper), paulson recalled the filming process and the complex structure of portraying the twins. “It was really heavy, we were shooting in New Orleans and it was really hot.” At the beginning of the filming of the fourth season, a person was hired to manipulate the puppet that would be the other head, but the actress assumed this responsibility. “I once had to write with one hand, but then act with the other. So I was playing a character, but my body was referencing the body to the other part I was playing,” he continued.

It was a real nightmare. But I’m really proud that I did it. I don’t think anyone had ever done what we did on that show, even from a special effects standpoint at that point.
