Executive producer of The White Lotus, David Bernad revealed that Mike White’s favorite region, creator of the series, is the focus of the new phase of production

In the new phase of production, the location of the narrative is still a mystery, but the producer may have confirmed this information during an interview with deadline.
In conversation with the site, the executive producer David Bernad assured that the team is working hard for the third season of the series to take place in an eastern country. “We try very hard to work on the Asia and hopefully Season 3 is our chance to make something happen there,” he said.

Mike White already talked about Asia in the 3rd season of The White Lotus
In a video aired after the last episode of the second year, titled “Arrivederci,” white hinted at how the third season might be set in Asiabut this time focusing on “death, religion and eastern spirituality.”
“Season 1 was all about money, and season 2 is sex. I think season 3 would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and religion and eastern spirituality,” he said in the clip. “Looks like it could be a rich tapestry to do another spin on white lotus.”
Prior to the season two premiere, mike white I had already indicated to make a continuation somewhere in the Asia: “I think it would be fun to maybe go to a whole different continent. You know, we did Europe, and maybe Asia, something crazy like that, it would be fun.”
