Dante Spinetta presents the music video for “Ridiculous”the most moving song from “Mesa Dulce”, his latest album.
Directed by Niko Sedano and Oscar Fernandez, the visual piece imagined by the directors and Dante himself, presents a minimalist environment where the artist deploys all his flow.
“Ridiculous” is, according to Dante, the most romantic song in his repertoire, where he also lets his talent as an instrumentalist shine once again, this time on the piano.
“It’s a song that beneath an almost ridiculous spirit, of exaggeration of love, of all that emphasis, hides a heartbreaking story. It’s a song of seduction influenced by the soul and spirit of Minneapolis I recorded the vocal take at 5020 studios in Miami and was accompanied by Pablo González on drums, Matías Méndez on bass and Axel Introini on keyboard, with arrangements by Claudio Cardone,” Dante said.
And about the creative process of the video, he added: “We use red, black and white to give contrast in certain moments and give space to all the images that contain the lyrics of the song. We liked exploring the song that way.
Dante will also be part of the opening day of the Lollapalooza Argentina Festival on March 17, officially starting the series of concert presentations of “Mesa Dulce”.
