Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania: focus on the two post-credits scenes

Ant man 3 : the return of the littlest hero

In 2015, Marvel Studios presents its fans with a brand new superhero: Ant man. A few years later, Peyton Reed is still directing a third Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) adventure, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania, which will hit theaters on February 15, 2023. This time, the hero is sent to the quantum world with his family members: his daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton), Hope (Evangeline Lilly), Hank (Michael Douglas) and Janet ( Michael Pfeiffer). And to get out of it, he has to face Kang (Jonathan Majors).

After that, as with every film (or almost) of Marvel Studios, two post-generic scenes are to be discovered. Naturally, these sequences include SPOILERS!

Shovels of Kang for the first scene after the credits

The two post-credits scenes focus on Kang the Conqueror. No surprise, since he’ll be the MCU’s new super-villain the main antagonist of phase 5. The first scene then reveals several alternate versions of Kang. Comic book savvy folks will recognize RamaTuta famous version of Kang.

The first part of the scene revolves around three Kangs discussing the decisions to be made. The three characters react to the death of the one in the middle FromAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania. We learn that this version of Kang was an exile and that his death will have a impact on the time continuum. Most importantly, the Kangs seem determined to now attack those responsible (implying the Avengers) because now they might take them out.

Next, we discover a huge arena where thousands of Kangs appear one after the other. This is an obvious reference to the crossover Secret Wars since 1984. In this story, several heroes from parallel worlds are thrown into a planet called arena Battle world.

Unfortunately, the sequence is not convincing. The special effects don’t seem to be fully developed, and the effervescence emanating from the scene doesn’t work, due to sloppy staging. However, the scene in question carries many promises about the MCU sequelwhich should therefore see many versions of Kang appear.

Loki is part of the second post-credits scene

The second post-credits scene once again puts Kang in the spotlight. But this time it is a scene that seems to be straight from the second season of Loki. Viewers can thus find the god of mischief, still embodied by Tom Hiddleston. The latter will obviously travel through time with his friend Mobiostill played by Owen Wilson.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the two protagonists witness the representation of a so-called magician who is none other than Kang himself. Mobius is apparently unimpressed with the antagonist, but Loki suggests not to trust appearances.

This sequence announces the plot of the second season of Loki and allows you to connect the series to the MCU films. Remember that this season 2 is expected in 2023 on Disney+.
