Legend Steven Spielberg

Filmmaker celebrated by his peers as by audiences of all time, currently director with the highest number of box office receipts worldwide, Steven Spielberg still counts as much in today’s cinema.

A Spielberg cult film… loved by Spielberg
During his immense career, Steven Spielberg has made many films that have become legendary: Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, ET, the Extra Terrestrial, Indiana Jones Saga, Jurassic Park, Schindler’s List, Saving Private Ryan… In a recent interview with host Stephen Colbert, the director pointed out that he wasn’t in the habit of rewatching his old movies. However, he makes an exception in a film that he sees regularly with his children. This is’ET The extraterrestrial :
I wanted to be there with them when they first saw ET. I don’t want them to see it without their dad there, especially in the scary first scenes. (…) Sometimes I see things I meant to do and didn’t do, and sometimes I see ideas that would have been better, with all these years of backlash. But overall, “ET” is a pretty perfect movie. It’s one of the few movies I’ve made that I can watch over and over again.

Released in 1982, ET The extraterrestrial follows the touching encounter between a little boy and an alien. Upon release, the film was critically acclaimed and held for 11 years highest-grossing film of all time.
