Do not take care! In our articles, we collect the latest scientific data and the opinions of authoritative health experts. But remember: only a doctor can diagnose and prescribe treatment.

My story

I tried several times to lose weight, nothing worked, and I got frustrated and quit. Over time I developed a bad relationship with food and didn’t want to admit the problem.

In 2016 I had knee surgery and had to learn to walk again. I went to the gym, I learned a lot about sports, but I still quit. In the most difficult period, I weighed 130 kg.

I hated shopping because things didn’t suit me well and trends didn’t suit me. Then I realized that I was sinking into depression and went to see a specialist. I didn’t want to live most of my life in my problems. A year ago, I decided to take my health seriously.

At first I learned to count calories through the app, then I got interested in sports. I wanted to consolidate the result obtained. I didn’t think I was on a diet, but I said I was changing my lifestyle.

Lunch: soup! I love soups and cook them often.

Snacks: fruit, cheese, nuts.

Dinner: chicken with vegetables and cheese, beef with rice and vegetables – what makes the soul.

My workouts

I started small, but quickly started exercising five times a week. First a treadmill, then exercises for different muscle groups. It was important for me to find a program that didn’t let me get bored.

Then I fell in love with running and signed up for a 5K race, but it was canceled due to the coronavirus. Then I started running in the nearest park.

What helped me

I completely immersed myself in the process. You can’t stop if the result is not immediately visible, it will appear soon! Discipline and the desire to change everything is what counts.

The second point is that I didn’t force myself to give up everything I love. I tried to go to a restaurant and not eat anything there, I suffered – now I started to eat normally, without going beyond my diet. Everything is possible, but not tons!

In addition, I measured volumes and took pictures from the second month. The progress has always been noticeable!

So in one year I lost 45 pounds, and it was one of the best decisions of my life!
