The Last of Us: Ellie’s original actress weighs in on Bella Ramsey’s performance

Anyway, The Last of Us came to an end. Entitled “look for the light,” the final episode of the critically acclaimed series HBOadaptation of the 2013 game of the same name, featured Ashley Johnsoninterpreter of Ellie of the games in the cast. Now, the actress gave her opinion on acting Bella Ramsey in the new version of the character.

In the series, Johnson played Annamother of Ellie. According to information from GamesRadar+she highly praised the performance of ramsey on the show, and opined how the young actress “elevated” in a way that the video game Naughty Dog originally failed.

“Because of the depth and talent that Bella has, I feel like she elevated him. She brought so much more depth to Ellie what we were able to do in the game,” said the artist. “I feel like there were so many moments and scenes where Ellie was able to say things I never could, where she was able to stand up for herself and stand up to Joel or stand up to anyone around.”

And it’s cathartic. It makes me really happy to see this character grow even more and have more of a say in his own life in a way.

Furthermore, Ashley Johnson explained how Bella Ramsey is the perfect actress to live Ellie in an adaptation live action in The Last of Us: “I don’t feel like anyone else could have played this part. I finally watched the last episode and she’s f***ing good. She absolutely blows my mind. It’s going to sound so weird – I feel so proud of her. a connection with her, I think because we both love this character.

“And I think there’s a lot of her that’s already Ellie… I feel a huge connection with Bella and I’m so impressed with what she did. What an incredible actress,” concluded Johnson.
