Laurence Fishburne: His big dumpling on the MCU

Laurence Fishburne, franchise regular

After an impressive start Apocalypse now, Laurence Fishburne has established himself as an emblematic face of American cinema, notably filming under the direction of Steven Spielberg, John Singleton, Abel Ferrara, Clint Eastwood and Steven Soderbergh, to name a few. The actor has also appeared in a number of franchises.

His most emblematic role obviously remains that of Morpheus in the saga Matrix but the actor also starred in Freddy 3: Nightmare’s Claws, Mission: Impossible III, The Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer, Predators, man of Steel AND Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

In 2017, Laurence Fishburne reunited with Keanu Reeves in John Wick 2, where he lends his features to the Bowery King, head of an underground New York network who becomes one of the hitman’s main allies. The comedian is currently in promotion John Wick: Chapter 4in which he comes to lend a hand to the hero on the streets of Paris.

The forgetting ofAnt-Man and the Wasp ?

In an interview given to ComicBook.comthe actor has proclaimed his love for the Marvel Cinematic Universestating in particular (cf Allocated):

I’m a fan of the MCU. I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While I’d love to be a part of it, I’m also happy to just be a fan and can’t wait to hang out in the future. I was in Atlanta and heard they were planning another Captain America. I say: “Yes! Go ahead!”

The actor has apparently forgotten about his participation in Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2018, in which he embodies scientist Bill Foster. Unless the actor wants a bigger place in the MCU or a more substantial role. Strange statement though…
