Find out which series besides Grey’s Anatomy managed to surpass the number of 20 seasons on television
Grey’s Anatomy (2005) had its 20th season confirmed by ABC. Furthermore, Meg Marinis was announced as a producer after the departure of Krista Vernoff.
It’s not easy to hit the 20-season mark on American television. Including animations, only seven productions reached the number. Leaving aside the record holders The Simpsons (34 seasons) and Family Guy (21 seasons), only five series were so long-running.
As pointed out by CBR, gunsmoke (with 20 seasons), NCIS (which is in its 20th season), Law & Order (in season 22), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (in season 24) and the original series of Doctor Who (with 26 seasons) are the leaders of the ranking.
Grey’s Anatomy aired on Sony Channel. In streaming, it is possible to follow through Star+.
