The Miraculous phenomenon comes to the cinema
Since 2015, the French-Korean-Japanese animation series Miraculous it’s everywhere on our screens. Set in Paris, it follows the adventures of Marinette and Adrien, two seemingly ordinary college students who have the ability to transform into two superheroes to fight off danger: Ladybug and Chat Noir. Their mission is each time to challenge the traps set by their sworn enemy, Le Papillon, who tries in every way to recover their precious jewels capable of transforming them. Indeed, legend states that whoever possesses the two miraculous that Marinette and Adrien hold will become the most powerful being in the universe…
Although Ladybug and Chat Noir are partners in their battles against Le Papillon, they do not know each other’s true identities. Marinette, in love with Adrien, doesn’t know that she is actually Cat Noir. Similarly Adrien, who has feelings for Ladybug, doesn’t know that Marinette is hiding under the mask of the latter.
The film Miraculous, which hits theaters July 5, will be a colorful reminder of their first meeting. We will also find out how they found the famous jewels capable of transforming them into superheroes. It will be an unpublished story, which will not take into account the series (in the first episode of the show, we also discovered how the two teenagers found themselves in possession of the jewels, but the film will not take this into account).
