The Mandalorian : focus on chapter 22

Season 3 of The Mandalorian slowly but surely it approaches its conclusion. The new chapter, entitled Guns for hire, and directed by Bryce Dallas Howard, features Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff), and Grogu on the planet Plazir-15. The goal of their new mission is to track down other Mandalorians to reclaim Mandalore.

Before going to meetAxis fabrics, leader of a Mandalorian coalition that has settled on Plazir-15, our trio meet the rulers of the planet: Captain Bombardier and his wife the Duchess. The latter, formerly affiliated with the Empire, have built a completely new democracy.

Both sovereign and elected, the couple have decided to make Plazir-15 an oasis of peace. Life on this planet is filled with partying, art, love, and recreation. The inhabitants do not work and leave the menial tasks to refurbished battle droids. The opportunity for viewers to find iconic prelogy droids such as B1 Battle Droids and B2 Super Battle Droids. However, some of these droids are malfunctioning and are causing havoc among the locals. Din Djarin and Bo-Katan are then tasked with finding out why these droids have their way.

Three large cameos

This new episode is particularly marked by unexpected appearances. Indeed, this chapter 22 proposes cameos of three dimensions ! In fact, Captain Bombardier and the Duchess are respectively embodied by Jack Black and singer Lizzo. Surprise appearances that enchanted the fans. The two actors seem to be enjoying themselves like crazy kids as these eccentric and good-natured characters.

But they are not the only ones to join the universe Star Wars From Christopher Lloyd is also in the game. The interpreter of Doc in the trilogy Back to the Future embodies here the Commissioner Hellgait, who is responsible for the proper functioning of the droids. We’ve known for a long time that Christopher Lloyd was in the cast of this third season of The Mandalorian, but the extent of his role was not known. Now it’s done.

A very important conclusion

Finally, this chapter 22 concludes with the comparison between Bo-Katan and Ax Woves, played by Simon Kassianides. The latter refuses to side behind Bo-Katan. She is then forced to challenge Ax Woves to earn the respect of her troops. After a tough fight, Bo-Katan gains the advantage and submits Ax Woves.

But the latter continues to question the legitimacy of his opponent. He states that Bo-Katan cannot be the leader of the Mandalorians until he has the black lightsaber. A true statement according to the Mandalorian creed. It is for this reason that Din Djarin makes the difficult decision to do so give his black lightsaber to Bo-Katan…
