The co-creator and executive director of Outer Banks, Jonas Patewas accused of attacking a production assistant during the recording of the fifth and final season of the Netflix series. According to information published by the magazine Peoplethe episode would have taken place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, where part of the new season is being filmed. According to witnesses, pate allegedly grabbed the employee by the shoulders and shook her while shouting at her.
According to Peoplethere were no physical injuries, but the behavior of Jonas Pate was described as “cross a line”. Sources close to the production claim that the actor Chase Stokes (Ugly) intervened to separate the director from the assistant, while Madelyn Cline (Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery) tried to calm the situation.
THE TMZ reports that the atmosphere on set was “particularly tense” at the time of the incident. Netflix, Jonas Pate and cast representatives have not responded to requests for comment as of press time.
