Costume Designer Heidi Bivens has revealed some potential details about Euphoria Season 3’s timeline, which could jump forward by up to five years.
It’s not news that the 3rd season of euphoria should focus on the maturing of the characters, but the time jump can last up to five years. The 2nd season of euphoria ends with the narration of street (zendaya) revealing that her character remained clean for the rest of the school year, suggesting that the new batch of episodes would begin as early as the next school year.
In a recent interview with voguethe costume designer Heide Bivens revealed some potential details about the season 3 timeline of euphoria. Although Bivens hasn’t read the scripts, the fashion professional comments that “it’s said to be about five years in the future, with the characters no longer in high school.”
I mean, it can be a total trip. Who can say? But knowing the brain of sam [Levinson] it’s going to be exciting, and he’s going to challenge us all, because he doesn’t want to repeat himself. It will be something new for the audience to discover.
How would a five-year time jump affect Euphoria season 3?
A five-year jump would benefit the third season of euphoria, ensuring that the actors were closer to the actual ages of the characters they are playing. However, that would completely change the dynamic of the show, which until now has been a high school drama.
Five years in the future, most of the characters will have graduated and gone off to college, which would provide little reason for many of them to interact with one another. Although the third season of euphoriaafter high school, has not yet been confirmed, there are some signs that point to this actually happening.
