Conjuring: after the films, an announced series
Ten years ago (already), James Wan launched what would become one of cinema’s most famous horror franchises: Evocation. Since then, there have been two more feature films, as well as several spin-offs, which have in turn given rise to other sagas (annabelle AND The nun).
The franchise imagined by James Wan is inspired by the life of a couple of American demonologists: Ed and Lorraine Warren, who carried out paranormal investigations between the 70s and 80s. They are famous for having intervened in Amityville, and in several other cases of demonic possession in the United States. The authors of several books on their various investigations, they had amassed a large number of supposedly “possessed” objects (such as the Annabelle doll) in the house.
In the cinema they have been played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga since 2013.

While a fourth film was announced a few months ago, a Conjuring TV series is also in the works.
What do we know about the project
Last night, Warner Bros Discovery unveiled the outlines of its own future streaming platform called Max (formerly HBO Max) which will be available on May 23 in the United States.
The company took the opportunity to announce flagship programs which will be available in the coming months. With a desire to capitalize on its most popular licenses, it has announced that a series Evocation was currently in preparation.
Still produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, it will “continue to explore the story set in the movies.” At the moment there is still no information on the plot or the cast. Still, it’s a safe bet that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be back. From many other cases of demonic possession which the Warrens dealt with have not yet been exploited in cinema. There is therefore plenty of choice for this future series that should please fans of the saga.
