What supplement should be included in the diet during menstruation – with it you will forget about discomfort

Menstruation comes at different times for everyone and can cause completely different symptoms. Nevertheless, doctors recommend that all women increase the amount of this nutrient in the diet so that “those days” pass more calmly and comfortably.

During menstruation, most women complain of a sharp deterioration in well-being. With pain in the lower abdomen, everything is clear – it is impossible to completely avoid this symptom. However, with pain syndrome, many have secondary ailments. For example, bloating and unpleasant reactions to familiar foods in the diet.

Sometimes it is during menstruation that difficulty in going to the toilet arises. This is due to a decrease in the level of the hormone progesterone. Doctors associate its fluctuation with water retention in the body – and the appearance of a fixing effect, due to which constipation occurs.

In addition, during the period of menstruation, some women can aggravate existing hemorrhoids – and disappear immediately after the end of “those days”.

That is why doctors recommend shortly before menstruation to increase the amount of fiber in the daily diet. Well, or start taking supplements based on it: for example, bran, psyllium and other dietary supplements.

The extra fiber intake will help prevent problems with going to the toilet “in a big way” and reduce the pain of defecation. Indeed, once in the body, the fibers swell, absorb the liquid and facilitate the passage of feces in the intestines. The key is to remember to drink plenty of water to help the fiber do its job. Especially during menstruation, it is especially important to monitor the amount of alcohol consumed in order to replenish the body’s water deficit.
