Al Pacino could have acted Star Wars

As he explains, when George Luke was preparing the production ofA new hope (1977), Al Pacino was popular actor and all the roles were offered to him.
When I arrived, I was the newcomer, and you know what happens when you become famous. He was like “give it to Al”. They would have given me Queen Elizabeth to play.
Al Pacino then received the script for the first film Star Wars. Only the actor completely lost it and I didn’t understand the story.
They gave me a script called “Star Wars”. They offered me so much money for it. But I did not understand. I read it. And I said I couldn’t do it.
