What Happens If You Eat 5 Eggs A Day: A Nutritionist Tested The Main ‘Cholesterol Bomb’ Myth

Despite the high content of protein and beneficial micronutrients, eggs are still considered a limited food. But what happens if you do not respect such a prohibition? The nutritionist tested it on himself for a whole year: the results of his analyzes changed a lot.

Eggs are one of the most controversial diet foods. Decades ago it was believed that it was because of eggs that you could lead to obesity and a heart attack – because they contain so much cholesterol. Today, eggs are considered the basis of a healthy diet. But nevertheless, many experts recommend not eating it every day. Some say that the benefits will be only from 5 eggs per week, others forbid eating more than 10 pieces in the same period. However, one egg contains half the daily dose of cholesterol!

American nutritionist and nutritionist Jesse Feder decided to check for himself how dangerous eggs can be in large quantities – and for a year he ate 3-5 eggs for breakfast every day.

Man has always tried to avoid foods that increase cholesterol levels in the body. Therefore, Jesse tried not to change anything in his usual diet during this period: his experiment was to show the real effect of eggs on the state of the body.

Let’s get down to the main thing: for a year on the egg diet, the level of “bad” cholesterol, due to which a whole range of serious diseases develops, the nutritionist, on the contrary, has decreased!

Previously, an American ate eggs quite rarely, meeting the norm even “no more than 5 per week.” But he does not plan to return to this rule. Along with better tests, Feder said he felt more energized in the morning. Plus, having breakfast with a veggie omelet or regular hard-boiled eggs keeps him feeling fuller longer — and now he doesn’t need pre-lunch snacks.
