Al Pacino looks back on his career
This Wednesday, April 19, Al Pacino returned to his immense career during an organized conversation in New York. During this event, the legendary comedian made several revelations, starting with the fact that he is writing his memoirs about him. The actor also revealed that he turned down a role in Star Warsthat’s no less, since he hinted that he didn’t want to play Han Solo, because he didn’t understand the script.
Al Pacino also returned to his masterful beginnings. Between 1971 and 1975 he toured Panic in Needle Park, The scarecrow, Serpico AND A dog afternoon. And the actor has obviously at this time filled the role of Michael Corleone in The Godfather AND The godfather, part 2. Two extremely difficult summits to decide, but the actor has the preference of him.

“The Godfather it’s more fun”
If for many the second part of Francis Ford Coppola’s trilogy is superior to the first, Al Pacino is not of this opinion. The actor said (via the Hollywood Reporters) :
I think for real The godfather, part 2, like, it’s more artistic, I don’t know. I don’t want to downplay it and be too modest because I’m playing it with Bob De Niro but at the same time it’s a different movie.
The Godfather it’s more fun. The godfather, part 2 it represents something more personal to Francis Ford Coppola. The first one, I recently rewatched, there’s always two or three things going on in a scene. We’re always in the story, we don’t know what’s going to happen next, it really is storytelling at its best. The godfather, part 2 it’s different, dark and slow. But it’s a great movie.
