A synopsis and cast for The flood

In addition to this photo, the synopsis has been revealed for output:

When we talk about Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette, we immediately think of lace, big wigs, bright colors and dresses, Versailles, or… the guillotine. Between these two extremes lies a happy middle ground, a seldom explored period: the few months during which the last king and queen of France were shut up, with their two small children, in a dark castle at gates of Paris, awaiting their execution.

A short and condensed period where, in violence and harassment, all the masks have fallen off. That of the two kings, as public and private figures. That of the old regime and of a history that has finally moved on. And finally that of God who, by now, has slipped into the shadows, leaving man completely alone.

In addition to Guillaume Canet and Mélanie Laurent (who meet again later My boyfriend by Christian Carion in 2017), are announced at the casting Aurore Broutin, Hugo Dillon, Tom Hudson, Roxane Duran, Anouk Darwin Homewood, Vidal Arzoni and Fabrizio Rongione. It should be noted that before this film, the Italian director Gianluca Jodice was distinguished by directing several episodes of the series 1992 (2015) and the documentary Looking for The Great Beauty (2015). The flood it doesn’t have at the moment no release date.
