Insidious fruit: which apples are the most useful, and which can’t be eaten every day

An apple is considered one of the healthiest fruits because you can – and even should – eat it every day. However, there is a difference between an apple and an apple, and only certain varieties are considered truly useful.

Do you eat apples every day? You are doing it correctly! Rich in fiber and vitamins, they are also rich in antioxidants and other trace elements which have a beneficial effect on cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

Despite the fact that apples are so useful and affordable, they still cannot be called the most ideal type of fruit. Not all apples provide the same benefits to our bodies – and the point here is not at all the organic nature of the fruit and its nitrate or pesticide content.

Red, pink, yellow, multicolored… There are no varieties of apples! But only green apples are considered optimal in terms of nutritional composition. Well, or those with slightly different “brown” sides.

The main reason why green apples are healthier than others is that they contain less sugar – about 15-20% less than other varieties. This means that they contain fewer calories and carbohydrates.

Less pronounced sweetness is an important, but not the only, reason why green apples are better than red and yellow ones. Their skin contains more vitamins, and the pulp contains iron and ascorbic acid. More in green apples and pectin – a component that is involved in metabolism and improves intestinal motility.

And the tart taste of green apples helps the digestion process. The same acid contained in the fruit prevents the formation of cavities. Apples of other colors are also good for digestion and oral health – but still slightly less so.

Of course, you should not completely abandon all the variety of the apple world. But for a daily snack, it is better to choose green apples. Especially if the goal is to reduce the amount of sugar in the diet and lose weight.

But if, for example, a person needs to improve the health of his cardiovascular system, he is better off eating red apples. Their skin contains more polyphenols which are good for the heart.
