Simona says what she thinks with “Meloni”

Simona presents “Meloni”his most recent protest song, in which he puts his convictions into melody.

In this single, the Argentinian singer based in Barcelona shows its most political sidewrapping it in a beat mixing sensuality and irony with urban pop, while the lyrics do not hesitate to denounce the injustices experienced by groups such as the LGTBIQ+ community or immigrants.

In addition, “Meloni” is the third preview of Simona’s upcoming album and explicit reference to Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of Italyfor his far-right ideas such as, among others, his sympathy for Donald Trump and the President of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, and policies that restrict the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community.

In response to this hate speech, Simona berates the Italian minister for demonstrating the hypocrisy hidden behind these repressive and violent narratives:

“I am not perfect
But I’m better than you, bitch
It’s that I came to your party
steal your vermouth
And laugh at your sect
and your purist speech
How my gaze shines in this party
Full of narcissists”
