Les Tuche 5: more and more chips!
After four films released in 2011, 2016, 2018 and 2021 and over ten million admissions in theaters, Les Tuche returns to the cinema in a fifth film set in England. But for the first time since the first feature film, Olivier Baroux will not be directing this new adventure, like our colleagues from Satellitefacts. Indeed, due to “artistic and financial” disagreements, neither the director nor producer Richard Grandpierre will be associated with this project.

A new director at the helm
But don’t worry, the rest of the saga is in good hands, as Jean-Paul Rouve, the interpreter of Jeff Tuche himself, will direct The Tuchis 5. The actor, also involved in the screenplay, will bring his personal vision through this new film. This will be the fifth result for Jean-Paul Rouve since No weapons, no hatred, no violence (2008), When I’m little (2012), Memories (2015) e Lola and her brothers (2018). Obviously he will reprise his role as patriarch of the family and the rest of the cast should also return.
The former director of the saga, Olivier Baroux, had already hinted at the possibility of a handover, hoping that a new director could bring a breath of fresh air to the franchise. He had expressed the desire to work with a younger director, to innovate and avoid making “too much film”. While not naming a precise name, he had expressed his admiration for Tarek Boudali and Philippe Lacheau’s gang, emphasizing their audacity and team spirit.
