The flash : Barry Allen Attacks the Multiverse
After Spider-Man: There’s no way back home AND Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madnessit’s the turn of the studies DC movies to take on the multiverse. Directed by Andy Muschiettithe film The flash will take Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) to the edge of the multiverse. The fastest man in the universe decides to use his Speed Force to go back in time and save his mother from certain death. An understandable choice that will still lead to a rift in the multiverse. Flash will then have to fix his mistakes and get the time continuum back on track.
The opportunity for DC Film to put the package. A bit like the two previously mentioned Marvel films, The flash will allow to bring back iconic characters. For example, we know that Ezra Miller will embody different versions of the Flash. We also know that both Ben Affleck will appear, but especially Michael Keaton in the skin of Batman. Finally, Michael Shannon will take over the role of Zod while Sasha Calle will make her first appearance as Supergirl.
A big surprise
And since Barry Allen will be traveling the multiverse, The flash will surely have its share of surprises in store for us. Recently, Andy Muschietti just ruined a big cameo on the mic by Squire. In fact, the director has revealed that the big Nicolas Cage would make an appearance as Superman.
It’s a totally insane revelation for fans of the DC Universe. Indeed, 25 years agoNicolas Cage almost pitched man of steel in a Tim Burton movie titled Superman lives. The feature film was supposed to be part of the same universe as the two films Batman by Tim Burton. But in the end Warner never gave the green light and Nicolas Cage lost one of the greatest experiences of his career.
Andy Muschietti has made it clear that his presence in the film is greater cameo:
Nic was absolutely wonderful. Although this role was a simple cameo, he completely immersed himself in it… I have dreamed all my life of working with him. I hope I can work with him again soon. He is a big fan of Superman. A comic book fanatic.
Nicolas Cage fans know his love for Superman runs deep. After all, he openly called his he son Kal El, in reference to Superman’s real name on the planet Krypton. But this cameo ultimately won’t be his first appearance as Superman. Indeed, in 2018, Nicolas Cage had managed to embody the superhero to the red cap in the animated film Teen Titans Go!. But The flash it will therefore mark his first live action appearance in the skin of the character. Let’s set up an appointment next June 14th to see the result!
