In “Isla Mater”, Connie invites us to her space amusement park where each song brings to life a different game within the park, which bears the name of this new album composed of 14 songs related to space themes, intergalactic, distant. , unknown and at the same time intriguing.
Connie dreamed up the whole concept of “Isla Mater” in February 2022, when she started composing these new songs, as well as the audiovisual identity that surrounds it.
“Viaje” is the first extract from the album and marks the beginning of this adventure.where the listener receives the message that the take-off into the unknown is in progress…
Just as “Isla Mater” is a conceptual and somewhat experimental album visually, Connie sought the same sonically, making the decisive decision to be able to explore this new facet: the guitar and the ukulele were prohibited during the composition.
In order to bring new sounds to life, she knew she had to get out of that familiar and comfortable place, which is why she decided to surround herself with different producers who nurtured her composition process, diversifying the palette of sounds. and colors, especially on the melodic level.
After starting the year playing at Lollapalooza and with the release of this new album, Connie Isla will officially present “Isla Mater” this June 3, from 8:00 p.m., at the Vorterix Theater, in what will be the most important show of his run so far.
