Excellent figure? Easily! 10 rules for not giving up halfway

Many people who go on a diet and start exercising actively to change their figure, get exhausted quite quickly. Psychologists tell you what to do so that you do not want to quit and your efforts are not in vain.

1. Stop doing your best

Imagine that you are a car driving towards a goal. You don’t need a full tank to drive, it’s important to make sure it doesn’t run out. So don’t waste your energy supporting the strongest motivation, just keep going. If you want to let go… let yourself go! A break from diet and exercise for 1-2 days will not deviate you from the right path, but will only help you stay there.

2. Set realistic goals

Nutritionists often talk about the fact that many people want to lose 3-4 times more pounds than they can. Set yourself an achievable goal: for example, to lose 10% weight in six months and maintain this result for another six months. And don’t just focus on the numbers: muscle is heavier than fat. If you develop new healthy habits (eating fewer sweets, not putting sugar in your coffee, etc.), they will help you progress towards your goal.

3. Create your own meal plan

As you know, it is enough to cut 150 calories from the diet to effortlessly lose weight by 7 kg in a year. Think about the food you can’t live without, the lifestyle you lead, and build your diet around that.

4. Don’t follow patterns

Last year, scientists conducted an interesting experiment: two groups of people received magazines with different covers. In the first it was neutral, in the second very slender models were depicted. The first group continued to lose weight, and in the second group most subjects gained weight. It happened because, seeing an unrealistic goal in front of their eyes (after all, the harmony of models is not only numbers on the scales, but also many other factors), people realized that they do not couldn’t do it and stopped trying.

5. Remember the feelings

When you eat not only tasty, but also healthy and exercise, you feel good. Motivation rarely shows up before a workout, but the feelings after it are worth remembering about them…and coming back to.

6. Offer freebies

It is easier to move towards the objective if “carrots” are waiting for you along the way. Has your clothing size gotten smaller? Buy some cool leggings. Are you halfway to your desired figure? Treat yourself to your favorite dish with a glass of wine!

Do you believe in the effectiveness of diets?

Yes

No

7. Organize a contest

It has already been proven that working in a group is more effective than running alone. Agree with friends, create a general discussion – and move towards the goal. By the way, organizers usually lose weight faster than attendees, because they subconsciously feel responsible.

8. Stop weighing yourself every day

You probably know that weight can jump for many reasons. Step on the scale once a week, or better – twice. Then the image will be more objective.

9. Surround yourself with health

Let vegetables and dairy products have a prominent place in the refrigerator, fruits live in a beautiful vase, running shoes live by the door, and sports uniforms dry in a prominent place. These fun little things will do a lot for you!

10. Surround yourself with surprises

Ask your friends to buy you something cheap and unusual, you can even give them money for it. Once a month, or as you lose weight, open one of the gifts, rejoice, and keep going.
