Peter Facinelli, who played Dr. Carlise Cullen in ‘Twilight’ Hopes to Join New Adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s Books for TV

even the own Dr. Carlisle Cullen is looking forward to the new adaptation of the eponymous books by Stephenie Meyerthe saga Twilight (2008). To the Varietythe actor Peter Facinelli revealed that it would be “fun to revisit” his role as the family patriarch cullen.

“I am a fan first and foremost. But if they call me I’ll be there. If not, I will be watching for sure,” she said. “I am happy to see them coming back.”

Facinelli fondly recalled his time at the production and pointed out his expectations for the series adapted for television by Twilight. “I have a lot of love for both of them and a lot of love for the cast, filmmakers and producers. It’s like a family,” said the actor.

It’s really hard to let go of them and move on. But potentially having the opportunity to maybe play them again is really cool. If not, I’m happy to tune in and watch. I had my cup run over.

As pointed out by The Hollywood Reporterthe series will be produced by Lionsgate Televisionthe studio that also adapted the books for the big screen.

Wyck Godfreyproducer of the films, and Erik Feigformer president of lionsgatewould be the executive producers of the series, who would have the direct involvement of meyers. There is still no information about the showrunner, streaming platform, television station, cast or the narrative line of the series.

The saga Twilight spanned five films, starting with Twilight 2008 and ending in 2012 with Breaking Dawn Part 2, grossing over $3.3 billion at the box office. The films follow the relationship of Bella (Kristen Stewart) with the vampire edward (Robert Pattinson) and the werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner).
