Unlike her last releases merging urban rhythms, the singer-songwriter presents “Guerrero.mp3”, a single in which reveals his soul in an open letter dedicated to his father, for the difficult process he went through in his fight against cancer.
In the powerful ballad, Emilia’s impressive voice moves with shocking words that describe how she felt at this point of uncertainty.
“I almost lost you, I held on to be strong and prayed to God that I didn’t lose you”, sing. And adds: “If you lack strength, I’ll give you mine. You’re my superhero or so I thought.”
In 2022, Emilia opened up during an interview: “I think that was the saddest time I had to go through. And having to deal with it with my family and watching my dad suffer. It changed my life. I had to keep working because I had to pay her for the clinic, her operations. I had to keep going and a week later I had one of my songs released,” he said.
