LOL: Whoever laughs, gets out! : Prime Video’s winning recipe
Adaptation of the Japanese show Hitoshi Matsumoto presents the documentaryseries LOL: Whoever laughs, gets out! is a big hit on Prime Video in France. Season 3, which aired last March, was the most watched program of all time on the platform.
It must be said that the company had relied on an XXL cast to attract as many spectators as possible. Thus, we had the pleasure of meeting again on screen: Leïla Bekhti, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Géraldine Nakache, Laura Felpin, Virginie Efira, Gad Elmaleh, Pierre Niney, Jonathan Cohen, Paul Mirabel and François Damiens gathered around Philippe Lacheau.
The ten actors used all the ploys to make their teammates laugh (and therefore eliminate) and the result gave some anthology sequences, in particular when Pierre Niney is gone an impromptu imitation of Thomas Pesquet. A moment of LOL: whoever laughs, gets out! which we do not hesitate to review in loop:
Prime Video announces a new rule for season 4
After the resounding success of the third season of LOL: Whoever laughs, gets out! Prime Video announced on Monday, June 19 that a season 4 was currently in the works. While everyone is waiting to find out who will be in the cast (Blanche Gardin has already made it known that she will not), the streaming platform has revealed that a new rule will be in effect for these new episodes. And the task promises to be difficult for the candidates!
In fact, in addition to not having the right to laugh, under penalty of elimination, participants will also be prohibited from shouting. An additional challenge for the actors who have used this technique a lot in previous seasons to avoid laughing. We especially think of Leïla Bekhti who used this strategy many times in season 3.
We are now eagerly waiting to know the names of the ten new candidates for season 4 of the series. LOL: Whoever laughs, gets out! aired on PrimeVideo.
