Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis Discuss Kim Cattrall’s Return in Season 2 of ‘Sex and the City’ Spin Off ‘And Just Like That’
With the obvious return of kim cattrall for the second season of And Just Like That… A New Chapter of Sex and the City as Samantha Jonesthe stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis It is Cynthia Nixon discussed with the Entertainment Weekly the reasons that led to the return of the iconic character.
“Samantha is present in Season 1 and even more so in Season 2 via text. It was just a nice nod to the 25 years [de Sex and the City] to add the face to the text,” says parker. “And it’s a really opportune moment in history, [um] important event happening in the life of Carriewhich Samantha calls and they make a quick, adorable, sentimental, funny call.”

“It just seemed like a great thing to do,” he adds. Davisnoting that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the premiere of sex and the city in 1998. “It also felt like we had to honor history”.
About the short appearance of Samantha Jones, Davis said that he “can’t reveal any more”, and stated that “sometimes, people aren’t in your life every day, but that doesn’t mean you’re not connected”.
We’re trying to keep the secrets left under wraps, but it makes sense given the circumstances it’s in.”
More about the return of kim cattrall, Cynthia Nixon lamented the leak of the news, but also pointed out the positive side of fans already knowing.
It’s so annoying because we’ve done everything we can to try and hide it. [Por outro lado] What we were also really excited about was not having anyone wait for Samantha and then have her show up. I just hope it’s not just a tremendous anticlimax.
So much nixon how much Davis recognize that there was a lot of accumulation around the return of cattrall, even if it is a very small part. “Now that [os fãs] know about it, it sounds like a very big thing, but it’s really not a very big thing. So I hope people are happy.”
